This time last year, I volunteered to participate in the annual 3-month Mentor Program at Romance Divas. It’s a great program and I enjoyed it immensely. My apprentice was Lea Griffith, who introduced herself to me with the information that she’d been writing for about five years, had four novels of a science fiction series completed, wanted to tighten up her writing and wanted to learn how to submit for publication.
What neither of us knew back then was that we’d become firm friends quickly, and great friends over the following months. Working with Lea was a pure pleasure for me. She was already a skilled storyteller and I soon discovered she works hard!
And today the whole world can read the result of her fine creative mind and her gutsy work ethic. Because today – I’m beaming like a proud uncle here – her debut novel RETRIEVAL is released.
